Julia Ann (Peachey) King

November 12, 1938 - March 4, 2020

Julia Ann (Peachey) King, 81, of Belleville, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Wednesday, March 4, 2020, at her residence.


Born November 12, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Samuel H. and Julia A. (Yoder) Peachey.


She was a member of the Beth-El Mennonite Church.


On June 3, 1961, she married Glen E. King, who preceded her in death July 5, 1975.


She is survived by: five sons, Wesley (Alice Hoover) King, of Guatemala, Eugene (Lois Hess) King, of Keezletown, VA, Rodger (Ella Ruth Hess) King, of Beavertown, Bruce (Beverly Good) King, of Dayton, VA, and Stanley (Julie Peachey) King, of Belleville; two daughters, Regina King, of York, and Julia King, of Belleville; 21 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.


She is also survived by a brother, Caleb Peachey, of Belleville; three sisters, Sarah Glick, of Belleville, Lois (Willard) Yoder, of Huntingdon, and Lydia Frey, of Goshen IN; sister-in-law Suvilla Peachey, of Belleville; and brother-in-law J. Mark King, of Aaronsburg.


She was preceded In death by a daughter, Beatrice King; granddaughter-in-law, Sharla (Rodes) King; four brothers, Peter, Jesse, Joshua and Benjamin Peachey; three sisters, Fannie Miller, Mary Miller, and a stillborn sister; sisters-in-law, Adeline Peachey and Bertha Peachey; brothers-in-law, J. Norman Glick, Levi Miller, Ray Miller and Mervin Frey.


Julia Ann was a homemaker and managed the family farm after the passing of her husband. She was also a teacher at Beth-El Christian Day School for nine years from 1992 to 2001.


A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, March 9, 2020, at the Beth-El Mennonite Church, 1150 Front Mountain Rd, Belleville.


Officiating will be Foster King, Wesley King, and Eugene King.


Burial will take place following the service at Allensville Amish Mennonite Cemetery.


A viewing will be held on from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, March 8, at Beth-El Church, and from 9 a.m. until the time of service Monday at the church.


In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Beth-El Christian Day School, 41 Schoolhouse Road, Belleville, PA 17004.


Arrangements are under the care of Henderson Funeral Home, Belleville, PA.
