Abie D. Kanagy, 70, of 215 West Back Mountain Road, Belleville, passed away at 5:30 p.m. on June 11, 2020, at his home.
Born August 22, 1949 in Belleville, he was a son of the late David S. and Katie M. Kanagy. His wife Emma L. (Kanagy) Kanagy survives at their home.
Also surviving are his children: Louie D. Kanagy and wife Malinda, Katie Wengerd and husband Ammon S., Linda Byler and husband Jonas S., Martha Peachey and husband Joseph, Levi J. Kanagy and wife Lena, and Sylvanus Kanagy, as well as 38 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and two brothers, Henry Kanagy and wife Annie of Rockville, Ind. and David Kanagy and wife Lavina of Rockville, Ind.
He was preceded in death by a grandchild.
He was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
His funeral will be held at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, June 13, 2020, at 108 Dogwood Lane, Belleville, with the home ministry officiating. Burial will take place at Allensville Amish Mennonite Cemetery.
