Anna M. Hostetler

January 13, 1932 - July 19, 2021



Anna M. Hostetler, 89, of 244 Shawnee Dr., Belleville, passed away at 5:00 p.m. Monday, July 19, 2021 at her home.


Born January 13, 1932 in Belleville, she was a daughter of the late Samuel C. and Arie E. (Byler) Yoder. On November 27, 1951, she married Sollie D. Hostetler, who preceded her in death on November 21, 2017.

She is survived by: her children, Raymond S. Hostetler & wife Tura of Belleville; David T. Hostetler & wife Julia of Belleville; Rhoda K. Peachey & husband Bishop David J. of Belleville; Ruth A. Spicher of Belleville; Mark S. Hostetler & wife Mary Ellen of Rock Stream, NY; Martin L. Hostetler & wife Karen of Vienna, GA, 38 grandchildren; 53 great-grandchildren, as well as her siblings, Beulah Kauffman & husband John; David W. Yoder & wife Sara; Frances R. Kanagy & husband Leon; Marlin A. ‘Mo’ Yoder & wife Karen; Raymond W. Yoder & wife Nancy; John M. Yoder & wife Joyce and a brother-in-law, Elam Hostetler. She was preceded in death by four sisters, Mary L. Kurtz, Esther R. Peachey, Elsie R. Yoder and Arlene J. Spicher; one brother, Samuel L. Yoder, a son-in-law, Jesse Lee Spicher, and a granddaughter, Sara Hostetler.

Anna was primarily a homemaker. She was a member of Pleasant View Amish Mennonite Church. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, embroidering, reading, working on puzzles and doing word searches. Her funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 22, 2021 at Pleasant View Amish Mennonite Church with Ministers Arlan Kurtz, Loren Yoder, D.J. Peachey and David J. Peachey officiating. Burial will take place at Locust Grove Cemetery. Her family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 on Wednesday at the church.

Arrangements are under the care of Henderson Funeral Home, Belleville, PA.
