Annie M. Kanagy

June 2, 1939 - August 14, 2025

Annie M. Kanagy, 86, of Belleville, passed away on Thursday, August 14, 2025 at the residence of Reuben & Fannie Swarey in Mill Creek. 

She was born June 2, 1939, a daughter of the late David and Annie (Peachey) Swarey. On November 23, 1961, she married Stephen P. Kanagy, Jr. He survives at their home. 

In addition to her husband, she is also survived by: four children, Katie Peachey & husband Noah of Rockville, IN; Elam Kanagy & wife Mary of Belleville; Fannie Swarey & husband Reuben of Mill Creek; and Joseph L. Peachey, at home; 27 grandchildren; 52 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Peachey & husband Moses of Belleville; Sarah Peachey & husband Ben of Beaver, OH; two sisters-in-law, Mary Kanagy of Belleville and Lizzie Peachey & husband Sam of Belleville as well as a brother-in-law, Jesse Kanagy & wife of McVeytown. 

In addition to her parents, Annie was also preceded in death by four infant children, one sister, four brothers and four great-grandchildren. 

She was a member of the Old Order Amish Church. 

Her viewing will be held on Friday, August 15, 2025 from 12 noon until 8:00 p.m. at 95 Calico Lane, Belleville, PA 17004. Her funeral service will be held at the same location at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 16, 2025 with Bishop Omar Peachey and Minister Joseph Peachey officiating. Burial will take place at Renno Amish Cemetery in White Hall following the funeral service.
