Brenda F. Freed

March 30, 1941 - February 24, 2022



Brenda F. Freed, 80, of 64 Pine Street, Reedsville, passed away at 1:32 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 24, 2022, at Greenwood Village, Lewistown.


Born March 30, 1941 in Belleville, she was a daughter of the late, Louis Albert and Ruby (Smoker) Harmon. On June 13, 1959, she married Jack A. Freed, who survives at Greenwood Village.

Also surviving are: her children, Richard H. Freed & wife Jo of Lewistown; and Penny Lee Freed at home; grandchildren, Cody T. Freed, at home, and Matthew Freed of Lewistown; four great grandchildren, Dakota Dashem, Janessa Bilheimer, Chase Bilheimer, and Brynley Hassinger; siblings, Thomas A. Harmon & wife Lois of Columbia, SC; Fern W. Harmon of Middleburg; and Jeanne L. Lerch & husband Harold of Middleburg. She was preceded in death by an infant sister, Joanne Harmon and a granddaughter, Amber Freed.

Brenda was primarily a homemaker. She served as a school crossing guard for Brown Township for a number of years.

She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Allensville, was an avid reader, and enjoyed paint by number games and putting puzzles together.

Her graveside service will be held at 12:15 p.m. Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery in Belleville with Pastor John Reed officiating. Her viewing will be private and at the convenience of the family.
