October 15, 1951 - January 31, 2024
Clyde Wesley Young, 72, of 7603 East Back Mountain Road, Reedsville, passed away on Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at his home.
He was born on October 15, 1951 in Belleville to the late Jesse Butler and Florence Irene (Knode) Young. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother Jesse C. Young.
Surviving are children: Cheryl Fox and fiance’ John Potepan of Belleville, Deanne Goss of McVeytown, Lisa Busa and husband Jim of Butler, PA; five grandchildren, Matthew Fox, Abigail Turner, Haylee Minimum, Taylor Goss, Adelynn James Busa, and nine great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Paul Young, Randall Young, Wanda Zook and husband Roger, all of Belleville.
He was a 1969 graduate of Kishacoquillas High School and was employed at Metz Hatchery, Abbotts Dairy, and Fairmont in Belleville. He also worked as an usher at the Bryce Jordan Center.
He loved pitching horseshoes at the Youth Park in Reedsville and participated in a number of tournaments. He also enjoyed bowling and was part of a league for many years. He enjoyed hunting and trout fishing, and was an avid Penn State fan and attended many games and matches.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 10, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Henderson Funeral Home, 3813 West Main Street, Belleville. The family will receive friends from 1 – 2 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will be at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery, Belleville.
