David Howard Keller

Petersburg, Pennsylvania - David Howard Keller, 83, of 4359 McAlevy's Fort Road in Petersburg, has gone to his new home in heaven.


Born February 28, 1938 in Jackson Township, Huntingdon County, he was a son of the late Thomas Edward and Grace Beulah (Koch) Keller. On September 12, 1958, he married Marian B. (Jones) Keller. She resides at their home.


David is survived by four sons, David E. and wife Marcee (Wilt) of Lock Haven; Rodger L. and wife Ruby (Shirk) of McAlevy's Fort; Perry T. of Huntingdon; and Rickey L. and wife Gail (Webb) of State College; a daughter, Arlene (Keller) Lightner-Rowe and husband Carl Rowe of Petersburg; 13 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by two sisters, Dorothy Clinger and husband Herbert of McAlevy's Fort and Dora Whitsel and husband Elmer of Mill Creek as well as three brothers, Elwood and wife Alberta; Harold and wife Agnes; and Norman and wife Mary all of McAlevy's Fort.


Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by a son-in-law, Gerry Lightner.

David worked for Paul Spearly & Sons in Bellefonte for most of his life. Following his retirement, he was employed part time at Centre Analytical Labs and most recently at Zeigler's Packing & Crating part-time.


He was a member of the Stone Valley Bible Church and the Stone Valley Boys gospel-country band. He enjoyed playing the guitar and especially enjoyed playing at Senior Citizen centers with his best friend and mentor, Clyde Wilson.


His memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 5, 2021 at Stone Valley Bible Church with Pastor Dan Morris officiating. His family will receive friends following the service.
