Florence M. (Esh) Sharp, 91, of 3879 West Main Street Belleville, passed away on Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at 2:48 p.m. at Mount Nittany Medical Center.


Born Aug. 19, 1931 in Belleville to the late Marion S. Esh and Lydia V. (Zook) Esh. On June 17, 1950, she married Jonathan H. “Yonie” Sharp. He preceded her in death on November 30, 2021. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Harold Esh, Ernest Esh, Clayton Esh, John Esh, Sylvester Esh, Joseph Esh, Roy Esh, Harry Esh, Jim Esh, Kathryn Esh and an infant sister.

She is survived by her children Judy K. Link, Belleville; Harold E. Sharp and wife Vonnie, Belleville; Sharon S. Fleming and husband Gary, Allensville; and Marlin W. Sharp and wife Ruth of Virginia; 9 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great granddaughter; and sister Rosella P. Wyland.

Florence was primarily a homemaker. She also worked at Kennedy’s Bakery and the Allensville Restaurant. She enjoyed cleaning, tending to her flower beds and reading. She attended the Stone Valley Bible Church in McAlevy’s Fort and was a former member of the Allensville Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary.

There will be a service held at Henderson Funeral Home in Belleville, PA on Saturday, June 3, 2023 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Dan Morris officiating. The viewing will be held from 10 – 11 a.m. prior to the service. The burial will take place at the Allensville Mennonite Cemetery.
