J. Robert “Bob” Goodwin Jr., 76, of Lewistown, passed away early the morning of Sunday, Dec. 24, 2023.
He was born on May 5, 1947 in Lewistown to the late James R. and Mary E. (Radcliffe) Goodwin. He married Connie (Herz) Goodwin, who survives at their home.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by children: Tim and wife, Kim Finkler, Scott and wife, Sherry Finkler, Todd and wife, Judi Finkler, Beth and husband, Chris Heavrin, and Bobby and wife, Brittany Goodwin; grandchildren: Julia, Kate, Emily, Christopher, Noah, Eli, Ashton and husband, Alan, Taylor and husband, Chris, Sidney, Aidan, Adison, Abby, Bailey, Emily, Cameron, Bailey, and Brody; great-grandchildren, Ellie, Emmett, Carter, Royal and Owen; a sister Vicki Ingram, and a sister-in-law, Cindy and husband, James Furey.
Bob graduated from Lewistown High School in 1965. He was a 1st Lt. in The United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was awarded three bronze stars, but only accepted one. He graduated in 1973 from Virginia Commonwealth University.
Per his wishes, there will be no services.
