Jacob T. Underhill

September 29, 2003 - October 23, 2022




Jacob T. Underhill, 19, of 180 Wagner Road, McClure, passed away at 3:21 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 23, 2022. Born on Sept. 29, 2003, he was the son of Todd A. Underhill and Tonna M. (Wray) Underhill of McClure.


In addition to his parents, Jacob is survived by a sister, Lyza M. Underhill, at home, and by his grandparents, Thomas and Shirley Wray, and Glenn and Joan Underhill, all of McClure. He is also survived by a number of special aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Jacob was a 2022 graduate of Mifflin County High School where he was a distinguished honor student and played lacrosse. He was currently employed by his father in their family business, Underhill Excavating. He was enrolled at South East Power Lineman Training School and was planning to begin attending there in January 2023.

He attended Locust Grove Mennonite Church and was part of the Youth and Young Adult Ministry there.

Jacob loved spending time with his friends and family, especially his sister, Lyza. He also enjoyed camping, visiting, mountain bike riding, hunting, and fishing.

He was very mechanically inclined, and enjoyed working with his hands. He was always aspiring to learn new things. Jacob was an extraordinary example and role model to his family and peers; living out his faith in Jesus Christ.

His family will receive friends from 1 to 4 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 27, 2022, at Locust Grove Mennonite Church. A funeral service will be held at 6 p.m. on Thursday, also at Locust Grove Mennonite Church with Pastors Ivan Yoder and Neil Renno officiating.
