James E. Goddard

July 15, 1955 - September 2, 2020

Rebecca Mary Peachey was born and died Friday, Aug. 28, 2020, at Geisinger Lewistown James E. Goddard, 65, of 6032 Hubbard Branch Road, Apt. 401, Huntington, WV, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2020, at his home.

Born July 15, 1955, in Jamestown, NY, he was a son of the late Donald L. Goddard and Sara (Frankhouser) Goddard who resides in Reedsville.

He is survived by a son, Jason Goddard, of Pittsburgh; grandchildren, Seth Goddard and Kara Goddard; siblings, Deborah Durst and husband, Dan, of Belleville, Donna Yoder and husband, Vernon, of Liverpool, and John I. Goddard, of Reedsville, as well as a number of special aunts, uncles and cousins.

Along with his father, he was also preceded in death by a sister, Mary Goddard Brown. Jim served in the U.S. Navy. He was a welder and he worked for several oil companies as well as Verizon. Earlier in life, he enjoyed hunting and fishing.

A memorial service at Barrville Mennonite Church is being planned for a later date. Pastor Carl Geissinger will officiate the service and burial will be at Barrville Mennonite Cemetery.
