Janet E. (Page) Kauffman Rhodes

January 10, 1933 - July 28, 2020

Janet E. (Page) Kauffman Rhodes, 87, of 45 Seneca Road, Belleville, passed away at 7:07 a.m. Tuesday, July 28, 2020, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Born Jan. 10, 1933, in Juniata County, she was a daughter of the late Richard B. and Diana Belle (Beward) Page. On Jan. 20, 1951, she married Donald L. Kauffman Sr., who preceded her in death July 3, 1989. On March 20, 1993, she married Charles Gregory Rhodes, and he preceded her in death Feb. 13, 2011.

Janet is survived by: her children, Pamela Moeng, of State College, Donald E. Kauffman Jr. and wife, Janet, of Naples, Fla., Valerie Collins and husband, Rick, of Belleville, Dawn Trusty and companion, Gene, of Colorado, Candace Carper and husband, Michael, of Reedsville, Sheldon Kauffman and wife, Daniela, of Etters, and Dana Kauffman and wife, Durinda, of St. Thomas; as well as two sisters, Peggy Archey and Georgia Wagner; a brother, William Page and wife, Shirley; two sisters-in-law, Kathy Shank and Sharon Spickler; 19 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.

She was a 1950 graduate of Burnham High School. She retired from Sperry-New Holland in Belleville. Janet was a member of the Belleville Civic Club, she served as treasurer of the VFW Post 5935, Ladies Auxiliary for a number of years, and she was a volunteer at the Lewistown Hospital. In her earlier years, she enjoyed traveling with her husband.

Most recently, she enjoyed reading and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Her graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, July 31, 2020, at Juniata Memorial Park. Should friends desire, memorials may be made to: The Salvation Army, 9 South Dorcas Street, Lewistown, PA 17044 or to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
