Joseph Milton Foster

September 7, 1969 - September 21, 2020

Joseph Milton Foster, 51, of 4098 Sawmill Road Petersburg, passed away Monday, Sept. 21, 2020, as a result of a motorcycle accident.


Born Sept. 7, 1969, in Lewistown, Mifflin County, he was a son of the late Wilber Foster, who passed away April 10, 2003, and Josephine “Lucy” (Wilson) Foster of Petersburg.


He was preceded in death by his wife Christina Foster Sept. 9, 2020, a nephew, Bradley Grubb in April 2020 and a niece, Amber Bowman in March 2018.


His memory will live on in the hearts of his children, Matthew Grubb and Angel Foster, his granddaughter, Kara Foster, his siblings, Suzie Angstrum, Patty Bliss and husband Brian, and Mike Foster and wife Darla, all of Petersburg, a sister, Stacy Grubb of Mill Creek, and many special nieces, nephews and friends.


Mr. Foster served in the United States Army from 1987-1991. He then served in the Army Reserves from March 1991 to May 1995. He served during Desert Storm.


He was a member of the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association 22-4 and the American Legion Post 238, Cresson.


After his military career, Mr. Foster owned and operated his own fiber optics company and worked as a sub-contractor.


He was a beloved husband, father and pappy. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, working in his garage and spending time with his children and granddaughter.
