Kevin G. Hazlett, 50, of Allensville, went to be with his Lord Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2021, at his home.
Born June 3, 1971, in Lewistown, he was a son of the late H. Gary Hazlett, who passed away Dec. 28, 2002, and Carole (Everetts) Hazlett who survives in Allensville.
He is survived by his siblings, Vicki J. Hamman of Three Springs, Kathy R. Pecht and husband W. Scott of Reedsville, and Duane S. McKinney and wife Joan of Mill Creek; seven nieces and nephews, Jeremy Hamman, Matthew Carolus, Heather Hostetler, Alicia Hamman, Alicia Mann, Michila Fisher, and Tyler McKinney, as well as 16 great-nieces and nephews.
Along with his father, he was also preceded in death by a niece, Angela Hamman Cook.
Kevin was a graduate of Indian Valley High School. He was employed at New Holland until their closing, then he attended the Huntingdon County Career and Technology Center where he studied HVAC. Following his graduation from the Career and Technology Center, he went to work for Geisinger in the maintenance department until his accident in 2016.
He was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Allensville, a member of the National Rifle Association, and a member of the Blue Rock Sportsman’s Club. He loved to hunt and fish, and he especially loved his dog, Buddy.
His graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 22, 2021, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery, Allensville, with Pastor George “Buddy” Baird officiating.
Arrangements are under the care of Henderson Funeral Home, Belleville.
