Kore E. Yoder

Kore E. Yoder, 78, of 3200 Front Mountain Road, Belleville, passed away at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 10, 2023, at his home.


Born May 21, 1944, in Belleville, he was the son of the late John S. and Lena (Bawel) Yoder. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sisters Lomie E. Yoder, Savilla B. Hostetler, Elsie A. Beachy; brothers Aaron R. Yoder, and an infant, Benjamin R. Yoder.

Kore is survived by his wife, Susanna (Miller) Yoder, whom he married on March 24, 1966; his children, Marvin J. Yoder of Belleville; Sharon E. Yoder, of Belleville; Mary Ellen Yoder and husband, Loren, of Belleville; Katherine E. Chupp and husband, Glen, of Eden Valley, MN; Brenda A. Coutain and husband, Bill, of Lewistown, PA; 18 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; sisters, Naomi L. Yoder, of Belleville, Mary E. Yoder, of Belleville, Nancy J. Beachy, of New Berlin, PA; brother, Raymond J. Yoder and wife, Ann, of Guys Mills, as well as a sister-in-law, Dorothy Yoder of Hadley, PA.

Kore was a lifelong dairy farmer and was a taxi driver for the Amish following his retirement.

He was a member of the Valley View Amish Mennonite Church.

He and his wife enjoyed traveling and vacationing in Florida. He also enjoyed singing and listening to music as well as fishing and going to Alan Seager and having picnics with the family.

His funeral will be held on Sunday, May 14, 2023, at 1 p.m. at the Valley View Amish Mennonite Church with Earl Peachey and Matthew Peachey officiating. Burial will be at the Locust Grove Cemetery. His family will receive friends and a viewing will be held on Saturday, May 13, 2023, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Valley View Amish Mennonite Church.
