Mabel E. “Diddy” Cleck, 97, of Valley View Haven, Belleville, passed away Sunday, Nov. 15, 2020, at the Haven.
Born Feb. 26, 1923, in Northumberland, she was a daughter of the late Joseph L. and Sylvia (Eichman) Sellers. Her husband, Marlin W. Clerk, whom she married Oct. 4, 1947, preceded her in death Jan. 14, 2004.
She is survived by: children, Steven S. Cleck and wife, Patricia, of Shippensburg, and David M. Cleck and wife, Holly, of Carlisle; grandchildren, Mark Cleck, Amanda Cloud and husband, Josh, Jessica Cleck-Demerick and husband, Dave, Josh Cleck and wife, Courtney, Charlene Cleck, Tiana Cleck, Ben Cleck and Tony Cleck; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was the last of her immediate family, being preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
She was a graduate of Derry Township High School and the Central Pennsylvania Business College. Diddy retired from the Mifflin County Savings Bank, but had previously been employed at the American Viscose Corp. in Lewistown, the Albany Felt Company, Albany, NY, and at New Holland Machine in Belleville.
She was a member at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Belleville, and a member of the Belleville Civic Club, and the Mifflin County Historical Society.
A memorial service will be held in her honor at a later date.
