Moses S. Hostetler

September 10, 1982 - January 2, 2024





Moses Solomon Hostetler, 41, of 575 Green Lane, Belleville, passed away on Tuesday, January 2, 2024, at home.


He was born on September 10, 1982 in Juniata County to Solomon and Nancy Hostetler of Belleville.  On October 16, 2008, he married Rhoda (Kanagy) Hostetler, who survives at home.


In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by his children:  Gideon, Matthew, Nancy Mae, Kevin, Henry, Katie Ann; siblings: Lena Yoder, Anna Hostetler, Barbara and husband Daniel, Elizabeth and husband Yost, Nancy and husband Eli, Solomon Hostetler; father and mother-in-law Gideon and Katie Kanagy of Allensville; two brothers-in-law, Henry Kanagy and wife Mary and Ivan Kanagy.


He was preceded in death by a stillborn daughter, Tena Rose, a brother Esle Hostetler, sister Mattie Hostetler, sister-in-law Nancy, an infant brother-in-law and a stillborn brother-in-law.


He was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.


There will be a viewing on Thursday, January 4, 2024 at his home: 575 Green Lane, Belleville. The funeral will be held on Friday, January 5, 2024 at 9 a.m. at the Ivan & Mary Ann Zook residence, 150 Sawmill Road, Belleville.  Burial will take place at the Green Lane Cemetery, Belleville.
