Nancy A. Bailey

January 10, 1935 - March 12, 2021




Nancy A. Bailey, 86, passed away on March 12, 2021.


She was born on Jan. 10, 1935, in Brooklyn, NY. She was a devoted wife of 58 years to Ronald E. Bailey. She was the loving mother of three children: Jennifer Bailey Palmer, John Bailey and Thomas Bailey, and grandmother of Ryan and Lauren Bailey. She was the mother-in-law of Christopher Palmer and Katrina Bailey.

She is survived by a brother, James Robertson and his wife Barbara, of Broken Arrow, OK. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents James Robertson, and Mary (Hickey) Robertson.

Nancy graduated from Conemaugh Township High School in 1952 and worked as a secretary in Penn Traffic department store. Nancy and her husband Ronald were married on Sept. 8, 1962 in the 2nd Presbyterian Church of Johnstown, PA.

Nancy and Ron lived in Westmont, PA for 22 years prior to relocating to Hummelstown, PA. In 1990 they moved to a home in Big Valley near Reedsville, PA where they resided for 20 years. In 2010, they moved to Westminster Woods retirement community in Huntingdon, PA. Nancy was a Presbyterian by faith and was a member of the West Kishacoquillas Presbyterian Church in Belleville. She loved reading and had an impressive collection of novels and the classics. She was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and followed Penn State football for many years.

Nancy appreciated the beauty of nature while traveling with her husband Ron to many National Parks and those trips were some of the happiest moments of her life. Her love of nature also led her to grow many gorgeous gardens during her lifetime. She also loved to make her home beautiful for her family and enjoyed decorating it for the holidays. Nancy will always be remembered for her kindness to others, her courage and strength in the face of challenges and the inspiration and love she always provided to her family and friends.

A memorial service will be scheduled and announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, should friends desire, memorials may be made to: West Kish Presbyterian Church, PO Box 98, Belleville, PA 17004 or to the Alzheimer’s Association, 3544 N. Progress Ave., Suite 205, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
