Nancy A. Kinsinger

October 15, 1931 - September 1, 2024

Nancy A. Kinsinger, 92, of A104 Valley View Terrace, Belleville, went to be with the Lord at 2:28 a.m. on Sunday, September 1, 2024, at Valley View Haven, Belleville.

She was born on October 15, 1931 to the late Christian C. and Lydia E. (Yoder) Sharp.  Nancy’s devoted husband, Peter D. Kinsinger, preceded her in death on June 14, 2015.

Nancy is survived by a daughter, Wilma L. Mays of Lewistown; grandsons, Damon Clouser and wife Ashley, of Milroy; Chris Mays and his wife, Beth of York; 6 great-grandchildren, including Zoey (Derrick) Fellows, Addyson Criswell, Keagan Clouser, Jordyn Clouser, Conner Mays and Evander Mays; along with many very special nieces and nephews.  Nancy is also survived by her sister and dear friend, Fannie Frey, of Lititz.  She was predeceased by siblings, Mattie Speicher, Elsie Gerber, Jacob Sharp, and Jonathan Sharp, as well as her son-in-law, Ted Mays.

Nancy was a member of Maple Grove Mennonite Church and was a strong Christian.  She was a lifelong Mifflin County/Big Valley resident.  Her working life started with a job at Ressler’s Store, and then the Big Valley Store.  Next came a career at Taylor’s IGA, a short time at the Charolais Restaurant, and after that Nancy retired as a waitress from the Belleville Restaurant, where she was known as Nancy K.

She was always willing to help others, loved socializing, spending time with family and entertaining.  She enjoyed camping with Peter D. and a group of fellow campers from Belleville in earlier years.  Most recently, Nancy enjoyed playing Bingo and Nine Hole Golf in the Terrace Activity Room, along with playing Farkle and doing Sudoku and word search puzzles in her apartment.

Nancy will be missed by her family and friends, but we take comfort knowing she is now with the Lord and with Peter D., where there are no more struggles.

We want to thank those dedicated folks at Valley View Village, Terrace, and Haven for being such a large part of Nancy’s life and becoming her friends and family.  We would also like to thank the staff from 365 Hospice for the care and support they provided.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 6, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Valley View Haven Chapel, Belleville, with Harold Sharp and Herb Zook officiating.  There will be a viewing beginning at 1:00 p.m. prior to the service.  Burial will take place at Locust Grove Cemetery.

Should friends desire, memorials may be made to:  Valley View Retirement Community, 4702 East Main Street, Belleville, PA  17004.
