Peggy M. Yoder

February 9, 1933 - July 2, 2022




Peggy M. Yoder, 89, of 196 Susan Drive, Belleville, passed away on Saturday, July 2, 2022, at her home.


She was born on Feb. 9, 1933, in Belleville, a daughter of the late Wesley and Alice M. (Smith) Krepps. On Sept. 5, 1953, she married Earl D. Yoder, who preceded her in death on Dec. 6, 2019.

She is survived by three daughters, Melody A. Byler and husband Ken; Margery A. Zook and husband Jim; and Marilyn A. Spangler & fiancé Don Falb, all of Belleville, three grandchildren, Joshua Byler and wife Jill; Craig Zook and wife Sharisa; and Colby Mannino and husband Matt; four great-grandchildren, Austin, Dane, Harper, and Hanna, three sisters, Tina Peachey of Florida, Helen Zook of Milroy; and Zelda Krepps, also of Milroy, as well as two sisters-in-law, Helen Krepps of Belleville and Karen Krepps of Burnham.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Glenn “Abe” Krepps, Buddy Krepps, and Bob Krepps and two sisters, Betty Sharp and Jean Stoltzfus.

She was a 1951 graduate of Belleville High School. She served as a secretary/clerical worker at Allensville Planing Mill and Peter Becker Retirement Community in Harleysville. Peggy was a member of Maple Grove Mennonite Church and the Willing Workers Sunday school class. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and family, entertaining family and friends, cooking, reading, gardening, doing word search puzzles and embroidering.

Her memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 6, 2022, at Maple Grove Mennonite Church with Pastors Alan Kauffman and Vaughn Kanagy officiating. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family at Allensville Mennonite Cemetery. Her family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 5, 2022, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Maple Grove Mennonite Church.
