Phyllis H. McCarl

February 16, 1924 - June 7, 2025

Phyllis H. McCarl, 101, of Belleville, passed away on Saturday, June 7, 2025 at Valley View Haven Nursing Home.

She was born on February 16, 1924, to the late Fred B. and M. Pearl (King) Bordell. On July 27, 1946, she married Harold R. McCarl, who preceded her in death on February 20, 2009.

Surviving are children:  Larry L. McCarl and wife Marilyn, Barry R. McCarl and wife Linda, all of Allensville; grandchildren: Kevin McCarl and wife Leslie, Wendy Elder and husband Michael, Stephanie McCarl and husband Joshua, Stacey McCarl and husband Josh, Kristi Byler, Lisa Hoy and husband Scott; 10 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by siblings: Mildred Wenger, C. Fred Bordell, and M. Arlene Spivey.  She was the last of her immediate family.

She was primarily a homemaker.  In earlier years, she played an active role in her community, mostly serving with the Allensville Fire Company.

She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Allensville.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at 11 a.m. at the Allensville Presbyterian Cemetery with Pastor Mike Sigler officiating.

Her family would like to thank the staff and administration at Valley View Haven for the great care they gave to her.
