Rebecca S. Yoder, 88, of 400 Church Lane, Reedsville, passed away at 10:15 a.m. on Jan. 22, 2023, at home.
She was born April 23, 1934, in Belleville, a daughter of the late John E. Peachey and Katie B. (Spicher) Peachey.
On April 20, 1961, Rebecca married her husband, Enos J. Yoder, who survives at home. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children: Orpha Kauffman and husband, David, of Thompsontown, Enos J. Yoder, Jr. of Troy, PA, Calvin L. Yoder and wife, Elva, of Belleville, Samuel E. Yoder and wife, Hazel, of Ewing, IL, Joseph E. Yoder and wife, Teresa, of Shippensburg, PA, Bertha A. Yoder at home, Mark E. Yoder and wife, Faith, of McVeytown, and Nathan E. Yoder and wife, Eunice, of Belleville. Rebecca had 55 grandchildren, and 56 great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by siblings: Sarah Yoder and husband, David W., of McVeytown, Marian Peachey of Belleville, John B. and wife, Toni, of Belleville, and sisters-in-law, Joanne Peachey and Beverly Peachey, of Belleville.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: her sons, Raymond J. Yoder and Naaman E. Yoder, and brothers, Irvin Peachey, David Peachey, Ivan Peachey, and Raymond Peachey.
Rebecca was primarily a homemaker, and a member of Goodwill Mennonite Church.
Her funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 26, 2023, at Pleasant View Amish Mennonite Church with David Brubaker, David Kauffman, Calvin Yoder, Vernon Weaver, and Anthony Weaver officiating. Burial will take place at Locust Grove Cemetery following the service. Her family will receive friends 1 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2023, at Pleasant View Amish Mennonite Church.
