Robert W. Sharp, 70, of 230 Fairway Place, Lewistown, passed away at 6:30 a.m. Saturday, June 27, 2020 at his home.
Son of the late John P. Sharp and Betty H. (Krepps) Sharp.
He is survived by wife Cindy (Wilson) Sharp, who resides at their home. They were married in 1972.
He is also survived by children: Chad M. Sharp, of Lewistown; and Angela Breon and husband, James, of Reedsville; and by grandchildren Lily Breon and Lucy Breon.
He is also survived by siblings Lois Zendt and husband, John, of Mifflintown; Beverly Miller and husband, Rick, of Belleville; and Delores Yoder and husband, Jay, of Belleville.
Bob graduated from Kish High School in 1967. Bob graduated from Eastern Mennonite College with a B.S. in education. He was employed at Stone Mountain Boys Home from 1973-1978, and he retired from Allensville Planing Mill in 2019 with 36 years of service. Most recently, he was a volunteer at Lewistown Country club.
He was a member of the West Kishacoquillas Presbyterian Church where he once served as deacon and trustee. He served on the board at the Lewistown Country Club, he previously coached Little League and Sr. Babe Ruth, he coached basketball at Belleville Community Hall for a number of years, and officiated high school basketball games for 20 years.
Bob was a devoted husband, father, & grandfather. He was a friend to all and loved by many. His family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. on Monday, July 6, 2020 at West Kish Presbyterian Church. Please observe social distancing and masks are encouraged.
