Samuel P. Yoder

Samuel P. Yoder, 75, of 165 S. Kish Street, Belleville, died at 7:47 p.m. on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at home.

Born on June 16, 1949, he was the son of the late Samuel P. and Rachel L. (Peachey) Yoder.  

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Katie A. (Peachey) Yoder, a grandson, Ivan Yoder, a stillborn granddaughter; a brother Isaac D. Yoder; sister Elizabeth O. (Yoder) Peight and husband Joseph; brother-in-law: Dan M. Wengerd.

He is survived by a daughter, Elizabeth K. Yoder; a son: Noah S. Yoder and wife Lavina, all of Belleville; 2 grandsons: Samuel Yoder and wife Mary, Elmer Yoder; and a great-grandchild: Christopher Yoder; siblings: Kore M. Yoder and wife Anna of Belleville, David S. Yoder and wife Matilda of Beaver, OH, Amelia R. (Yoder) Wengerd of Mifflintown, Menno N. Yoder and wife Annie of Belleville, Moses J. Yoder and wife Annie of Belleville, Noah I. Yoder and wife Mattie of Allensville; and sister-in-law:  Lydia Yoder of Tyrone.

He was a member of the Old Order Amish faith.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, May 22, 2025 (afternoon and evening) at his residence, 165 S. Kish Street, Belleville.  A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 23, 2025, at the Ben Z. Peachey residence, 45 Belmore Drive, Belleville.  Burial will be at the Whitehall Cemetery.
