Shirley H. Morris

June 22, 1928 - June 23, 2022

Shirley H. Morris, 94, of Belleville, passed away on Thursday, June 23, 2022, at Valley View Haven.

She was born on June 22, 1928, in Reedsville, Pa. to the late R. Metz and Mildred (Naginey) Headings and was preceded in death by her husband, Quentin L. Morris, who she shared life with for 60 years until his passing in 2012.

She is survived by a son, Terry L. Morris and his wife Cheryl J. of Sinking Spring, Pa.; a daughter, Cheryl A. Nelson and her husband William J. of Leechburg, Pa.; a brother, Kenneth J. Headings of Reedsville, Pa.; and grandchildren, Jordan R. Morris, Mitchell G. Morris, Mason L. Morris, and Briella C. Morris.

Shirley was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Family meant everything to her but everyone who knew her felt loved by her. For many years she and Quentin lived in Parkesburg, Pa. where they raised their family before retiring at Valley View in Belleville about 20 years ago.

For 22 years, she worked as a secretary for the Coatesville Area School District until her retirement. She was a member of Upper Octorara Presbyterian Church in Parkesburg, Pa. for many years before moving and becoming a member of West Kishacoquillas Presbyterian Church in Belleville. She was very active in the church and with bible study and was a leader in cub scouts and brownies.

A memorial service is being planned for a later date.
