Shirley I. Crider, 84, of 4702 East Main Street, Belleville, PA passed away at 7:10 p.m. on Thursday, June 15, 2023 at Valley View Haven.
She was born March 18, 1939 in Altoona, PA to Marshall and Hazel (Ellenberger) Wagner. On Sept. 3, 1960, she married Charles M. Crider III, who preceded her in death on Dec. 26, 2016.
Surviving are children Marsha A. Reigle, of Lewistown, PA and Mark C. Crider, PhD in Nursing, of Harrisburg; grandchildren, Kevin Reigle and spouse, Jaime, of Reedsville, Jenna Reigle and companion, Jonathan Carey, of Doylestown, PA; brother, Marshall J. Wagner and wife, Linda, of Hollidaysburg, PA.
She was a P/T surgical services nurse at Altoona Hospital for many years. She graduated from Altoona Hospital School of Nursing in 1960. Both Chuck and Shirley graduated in 1957 from Altoona Area High School. She was a member of Church Hill United Methodist Church and enjoyed crocheting and embroidery. During her time at Valley View Haven, she became very social and enjoyed participating in any activity they had.
The burial will take place at the Carson Valley Cemetery, Duncansville and will be private and at the convenience of the family.
