Thomas Joseph Bailey

Thomas Joseph Bailey, 54, passed away on Nov, 28, 2022, in Belleville.


He was the beloved son of Ronald E. Bailey and the late Nancy A. Bailey, and cherished brother of Jennifer Bailey Palmer and John R. Bailey, and uncle to Ryan and Lauren Bailey. He was brother-in-law to Katrina Bailey and Christopher Palmer.

Tom lived with his family in Westmont before relocating to Hummelstown, where he graduated from Lower Dauphin High School. In 1990, he moved with his parents to their home in Big Valley near Reedsville, until 2010 when he joined his second family in a residential home with Skills of Central Pennsylvania in Belleville.

Tom delighted in every minute of his life, had a terrific sense of humor and loved listening to music. He took great pleasure in celebrating the holidays and traveling to the beach during the summer. He enjoyed swimming and had the opportunity to compete multiple times in the Special Olympics. He especially loved his family, including his housemates and the Skills employees caring for him in his group home. Tom will be remembered for the love, joy, and fun he brought to all who knew him.

A celebration of life service for immediate family and his Skills family will be held at West Kish Presbyterian Church in Belleville beginning at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 16, 2022. Burial will be in Machpelah Cemetery, behind the West Kish Presbyterian Church in Belleville.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Skills of Central PA Foundation, 341 Science Park Road, Suite 6, State College, PA 16803.
