Susan K. Peachey

October 8, 1948 - July 30, 2022




Susan K. Peachey, 73, of 250 Hartzler Drive, Belleville, passed away at 8:04 a.m. Saturday, July 30, 2022, at Valley View Haven.


She was born Oct. 8, 1948, in Allensville, a daughter of the late Paul T. and Cora (Hartzler) Yoder. She was united in marriage to Gerald J. Peachey, who resides at their home.

She is also survived by her daughter, Sheila A. Penepacker and husband Clayton of Milroy, her son, Ritchie J. Peachey and wife Bethany of West Jefferson, Ohio, a granddaughter, Amber Pene- packer and fiancÈ Ethan P. Lightner, as well as a sister, Sandra Yoder and husband Wayne, and a brother-in-law, Ray Yoder and wife Darlene of Belleville. Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by a sister, Jane Yoder.

Sue was, first and foremost, a full time mother. She was also employed as an office manager at Peachey Builders and served as a bank teller at Kish Bank in Belleville for a number of years.

She was a member of Locust Grove Mennonite Church. She also served as a volunteer at Valley View Haven and Belleville Mennonite School. She was an avid dominos player, enjoyed putting puzzles together, collecting nesting hens and peanut butter glasses. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family.

Her funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2022, at Locust Grove Mennonite Church with Pastors Ivan Yoder, Neil Renno and Max Zook officiating. Burial will take place at 10 a.m. the day of the service at Locust Grove Cemetery. Her family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2022, at Henderson Funeral Home, 3813 W. Main St., Belleville.
