Vivian G. (Reed) Plank

March 1, 1932 - December 25, 2021





Vivian G. (Reed) Plank, 89, of Belleville, passed away Saturday, Dec. 25, 2021, at William Penn Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Lewistown.


Born March 1, 1932, in Lewistown, she was a daughter of the late Ralph and Erma (Flickinger) Reed. On Feb. 17, 1950, she married Samuel E. Plank, who passed away on Jan. 7, 2018.

Surviving are: her children, Scott E. Plank and wife Deborah of York; Kimbra Jo Aumiller and Al Coudriet of Belleville; Nathan C. Plank and wife Pamela of Huntingdon; six grandchildren, Aaron ‘Josh’ Aumiller, Jereme S. Plank, Justin M. Plank, Jessica S. Plank, Michael Plank and wife Alannah, and Christopher Plank; seven great-grandchildren; as well as a sister-in-law, Betty Stuter of Bradenton, Fla., and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was the last of her immediate family. She was preceded in death by two infant brothers and a special aunt and uncle, Charles and Emma Vogelsong.

Vivian was a graduate of Lewistown High School. She was primarily a homemaker and a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Belleville. She most enjoyed spending time with her family. Vivian was an avid reader and enjoyed visiting and patronizing the local library in Belleville. She loved collecting antiques and earlier in life going to antique shows, flea markets and the sale barn. She and her husband traveled extensively and especially enjoyed traveling to attend the Marine Corps reunions.

Her services will be private and at the convenience of the family with Pastor Ela Robertson officiating. Burial will take place at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery in Belleville.

Vivian was a wonderful Library Patron and will be greatly missed. From Jillian at the Kish Branch Library and all the library staff.
