Walter A. ‘Pete’ Long, Jr., 64, of 22 Front St., Apartment 2, New Buffalo, passed away at 9:57 p.m. on Jan. 28, 2021, at Select Special Hospital, Camp Hill.
Born May 13, 1956 in Lewistown, he was a son of the late Louella M. (McMullen) Long, who passed away on Sept. 2, 1961 and Walter A. Long, Sr., who survives. Walter Sr. and his wife Sandra E. (Lyons) Long reside in Halifax.
Surviving are: his son-in-law, Tony Relyea of Virginia, his grandchildren, Noah L., Bella J., Jason M., Owen A., and Elijah W. Relyea, all of Virginia, a step son, Noah, and siblings, Deborah Bull, Thomas Long, William Long, John Long, Cynthia Zook, Ellen Amspacker, David Long, Susan Soccio, Richard Long, Richard Foulk, Marlin Long, Terry Long, and Melissa Lebo, as well as a number of nieces & nephews.
Along with his mother, he was also preceded in death by his step mother, Nancy (Byler) Long, on Oct. 22, 1972 and his daughter, Devon Relyea on Jan. 30, 2018.
Petey was a 1974 graduate of Kishacoquillas High School. He served in the United States Navy following his graduation. He worked as a dispatcher for Roadway Trucking until his retirement.
He enjoyed spending time with his daughter & grandchildren and watching NASCAR. His services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Burial will take place at Locust Grove Cemetery.
