Wayne J. Miller

March 29, 1933 - January 18, 2022




Wayne J. Miller, 89, of Belleville, and formerly of Hatfield, entered through heaven’s door on Jan. 18, 2022, surrounded by his family.


Wayne was born March 29, 1932, in Mattawana, he was a son of the late Elmer W. and Ruth E. (Harshbarger) Miller. He was the beloved husband of his surviving wife, Nancy (Seasholtz) Miller, with whom he was blessed to share 65 years of marriage.

He is also survived by his daughters, Mary A. Miller, of McVeytown, and Karen Miller of Lewistown; two brothers, John Miller and wife Sharon of Grabill, Ind., and Ivan Miller and wife Colleen, of McVeytown; three sisters, Esther Schuyler of Newark, Ohio, Betty Miller of McVeytown, and Lena Heister and husband Marlin, of McVeytown; as well as a sister-in-law, Julia Miller of Mattawana and numerous nieces and nephews.

Wayne was preceded in death by three brothers, Clyde, Lloyd and Marlin Miller; a sister Mary Hoover, brothers-in-law, Willis Hoover and Robert Michaels and a sister-in-law, Esther (King) Miller.

He was a member of Grace Mennonite Church in Lansdale, where he served as an usher, youth advisor, and was on the banquet and visitation committees. After moving to Valley View Retirement community in Belleville, he became an associate member of Maple Grove Mennonite Church.

He worked at North Penn Transfer in Lansdale as a truck driver for 33 years, and then worked for Landis Leasing for six years. He was a member of Teamsters Union 384 and National Rifle Assoc. He was an avid hunter and loved to spend time in the mountains and with his family. A celebration of life service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 22, 2022, at Maple Grove Mennonite Church with Pastor Alan Kauffman officiating. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family at Locust Grove Cemetery. His family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday at the church.
